Thomas Carl Dodd

Thomas Carl Dodd, 64, a resident of Etowah passed away on Thursday morning, December 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, TN on December 22, 1957 a son of the late Samuel & Willie Dodd. Thomas loves cruising around and listening to music, but the most important to him was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters Rosetta Dodd and Mae Mayner, two brothers Bobby Dodd and Samuel Dodd Jr. and one step son Demicha Malone.
Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years Sherita Malone Dodd, one daughter Hopela Dodd (Anthony Labron), two sons Shariq Dodd and Shelton Malone, father in law Alfred Malone, five sisters Lorene Thompson, Linda Smith, Evelyn Taylor (George), Willie Dodd and Mary Park all of Cleveland, TN, two brothers Michael Dodd (Gisele) of Cleveland and James Dodd of Maryville and two sisters in love Cathy Dodd and Marcia Williams, one brother in law Graylon Ervin of Etowah, nine grandchildren, special friends David Lee, Melissa McDermott, Debra Smith and Festus Glass, numerous other extended family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation time at 3:30 PM with the Reverend Clifton Braden officiating.
