Thelma "Lynn" Hyde

Thelma “Lynn” Hyde, 72, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. A life-long resident of McMinn county, Lynn was born to the late John and Victoria “Toby” Morrison. Lynn enjoyed reading, working in the flower bed, going to yard sales, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents John and Victoria “Toby” Morrison; daughter-in-law, Lisa Lyles; brother-in-law, Gordon Roderick, and her father-in-law, Albert Hyde Jr.

Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Rick Hyde; one son, Scott Lyles; two daughters, Penny (Scott) Crowe and Pam Landress. Lynn is also survived by two sisters, Gail Roderick and Sharon (Kenneth) Coleman, mother-in-law, Mary Hyde, three sisters-in-law, Connie (Tony) Morrow, Andrea Hickman and Kim (Duane) Davis, one brother-in-law, David (Angie) Hyde, seven grandchildren, Jake (Whitney) Bull, Cody (Alison) Bull, Major (Brianna) Landress, Megan Landress, Whitney Landress, Emily (Walker) Stewart, and Josh (Samantha) Hyde, and eleven great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends also survive.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 2:00 in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens with Rev. Roy Chisum officiating.
