Terry Lee "Bub" Stansberry

February 9, 1954 — August 9, 2018

Terry Lee “Bub” Stansberry, 64, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home in Greer, SC. Terry was born in Charleston, TN on February 9, 1954 where he lived until he moved to Greer, SC where he worked at Carotell Paper Mill until he retired. He was an avid hunter, loved old cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed going to the flea markets and his dogs. He would often ride “Poochie” on his motorcycle even bringing him in on it. Terry was a member of the Cashville Church of God of Prophecy.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Lee and Beatrice Stansberry and his sister Janie Stansberry all of Charleston, TN and his wife Melody Hinkle Stansberry.

Terry is survived by his sons Jamey Lee and Julius Wayne Stansberry both of Greer, SC, their mother Roxanne Wood, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two brothers Jerry Harris (Carolyn) of Decatur, TN and Gary Harris (Connie) of Greer, SC, eight sisters Wilma Shelton (Roy) of Calhoun, TN, Cathy Marr (Danny), Brenda Barnett (Stanley) both of Cleveland, TN, Wanda Shultz (George), Jeanette Shope (Chris), Carolyn Williams (Mitch), Linda Watson (Gary Bishop) and Genia Stokes all of Charleston, TN, several nieces and nephews, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Monday, August 13, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Gary Farris officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with his sons Jamey Lee and Julius Wayne Stansberry, Stan Barnett, Danny Marr, Chris Shope and George Schultz serving as pallbearers. Mitchell Williams will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service time.
