Terry Huskins

Terry L. Huskins, known as "T.L." 74 of Cleveland, TN passed on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born on April 24, 1950, to the late Robert and Hazel Huskins in Spruce Pine, NC. He moved to TN as a child to eventually attend Cleveland High School, where he met the love of his life, Marilyn Huskins, to whom he was married for 53 years. He was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his sincerity, warmth, and sense of humor. After working a few years as a mechanic, T.L. began a career in insulation at age 23. He was a member of the Local 46 Insulators Union (HFIAW) throughout his career. As a true jack-of-all trades, T.L. did much of the work building and improving a house to raise his son and live with his wife for the rest of his life. He loved the outdoors and spent many summers camping and waterskiing at Parkville Lake and many more years backpacking and hiking throughout Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Survived by his wife Marilyn, his son Stacy Huskins (wife Robyn), and granddaughter Adeline, as well as brother-in-law David McAmis, sisters-in-law Twyla McAmis and Linda Miller, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and beloved dog Scout. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Hazel Huskins and brother Danny Huskins. He also follows his mother and father-in-law, and several dear brothers and sisters-in-law. Services will take place at the Companion Funeral Home, Chapel on the Hill, on Tuesday, November 26. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 pm with a service at 4:00 conducted by Matt Ward. The staff of Companion Funeral Home is honored to assist the Huskins family with these arrangements.
