Terry Bowman

Terry Kenneth Bowman Sr. (T.K.) age 84 of Athens passed away Monday January 29, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Trulie Bowman.

T.K. was a native of Anderson, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Florida. He was a State Trooper for several years and also was the owner of a camera shop. He was a mechanical engineer for over 40 years. T.K. was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed traveling, camping and golf. He was an avid Florida Gators Fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Kitty Bowman; Daughter and son in- law, Babette & Doug Schiestel of Athens TN, Son Terry Bowman of Virginia Beach VA; Sister Debbie & Fernando Granda of Texas; Sister Jodie Roxby of Florida; Brother Greg & Jackie Bauer of Jasper Georgia; Grandchildren: Monroe & Dusty Schiestel of Murphy North Carolina, Corey & Kim Schiestel of Riceville TN; Diana Schiestel of Athens TN; Trey & Joline Bowman of Virginia Beach VA.

Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Kayla, Jayden, Sawyer and Sutton.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
