Terisa Elizabeth Smallen

Terisa Elizabeth Smallen, 74, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Terisa was born on May 9, 1949, in Elk Valley, Tennessee to the late Jeff L. and Gracie (Brooks) Lewallen. She Worked in the bakery at Apple Valley Orchard for many years. Terisa loved to can from her garden, sew, estate sales, and catching the first catfish from the pond every summer.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smallen; siblings, Henry Lewallen, Herman Lewallen, Arther Lewallen, Ulyss Lewallen, Lowell Lewallen, Russell Lewallen, Dewey Lewallen, and Faye Shubert; and her brother-in-law, Lester “Hut” Shubert.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Terrie Renee Smallen, Diane Smallen, and Priscilla (Nick) Webb; grandchildren, Daykota Smallen of Cleveland, TN Tatum (Aberum) Bowers stationed at Naval Base San Diego, CA, Lane Webb stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Gracie Turner of Cleveland, TN, Autumn Bigham of Cleveland, TN, and Lauren Webb of Cleveland, TN; and her sibling, Vonell Lewallen; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Homer Roberts officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Moores Chapel Cemetery with David Humberd, Daykota Smallen, Steve Walker, Jackie Prince, Jeff Lewallen, and Mitchell Bigham serving as pallbearers. Lane Webb and Aberum Bowers will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
