Teresa Wright

Teresa (Terry) Wright, 62, a resident of Athens, Tn passed away on Thursday evening, January 18, 2024, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 11, 1961, a daughter of the late Dick Holtz & Linda Scarbrough. She enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, solitaire, but most importantly spending time with her special granddaughter Katelin (KK).

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one grandson Damion Kauffin.

Terry leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Calvin Wright, four daughters Miranda Gourley (Jared), Tina Young (James), Crystal Hitson (Chris) and Keysha Duncan, one son Nicholas Thompson (Cindy Hall), one sister Michelle Boyd (Jimmy), one brother Duane Holtz, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, lifelong best friend Tammy Duvall, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A service celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 7:00 PM at The Upper Room Church located at 109 County Road 76 in Riceville TN with the Reverend Caleb Leamon and the Reverend Billy Leamon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time on Wednesday evening at the church also.

The interment and committal service will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM, in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
