Taylor Wright Caldwell, age 71, son of Robert and Mae, died December 20, 2022 from cancer. A native Chattanoogan, he had last lived in Anchorage, Alaska.

Taylor embraced rebellion at a young age. Before graduating from Chattanooga High School he had attended five schools in three different states.

He joined former members of the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Sanford Townsend Band and Wet Willie to form the Renegades of Southern Rock and toured with them. Later he played at the Station House and the Chattanooga Choo Choo before returning to Alaska. His latest work was with the TGZ Band of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He is survived by his daughter, Aimee Nelson of King George, Virginia; a son, Rob Bentti of Anchorage, Alaska; and his sister Kerwin Hetzler (David) of Chattanooga.

A wake will be held at the home of his sister, 841 Vine Street, from 3 to 6 on Tuesday, December 27th.
