One of the true lights of this world, Tamara Gay “Tami” Davis Williams, 62, of Cohutta, died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born September 9, 1959 in Cleveland, to Wendell Davis and Bettye Trimm Davis. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1977. Tami loved her family, friends, and all animals.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Williams; daughters, Kara Sanford and Kellianne Sanford; sisters, Kay (Spencer) Rievley and Donna (Ben) Casteel; son, George (Melisha) Woods; niece, Wendy Coultry, nephew, William (Magy) Coultry; uncles, Windom (Yonna) Davis, and Samuel Davis; grandchildren, Destinee (Taylor) Evans, Jantzen Calvo, Stryker Woods, Caine Woods and Brett Woods; and many more cherished cousins and friends.
Tami was a loving wife and mother who brought extraordinary love and laughter to all that she encountered, to the degree that total strangers would tell her their entire life story. She was selfless and always helped a person or animal in need, often managing to rope her loved ones into helping, as well. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who ever knew her.
The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 2-4 p.m.
