Syrus Gordy

Syrus Ellis Gordy Jr., 65, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A man who found joy in the great outdoors, Syrus loved camping, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and deer hunting. His time spent in nature reflected his appreciation for life's simple pleasures and his deep connection to the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Syrus Ellis Gordy Sr. and Johnny Ruth Gordy; his daughter, Mellisa Gordy; and his siblings, John Gordy, Will Gordy, Mary Flowers, Cornellah Gordy, and Sarah Gordy.

Syrus leaves behind a devoted family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Gordy; his children, Syrus Ellis Gordy III (Susan), Christina Evans Gordy (Otto), Brandy Gordy, Kali Gordy, Jessica Nikki Daniels, and Tiffany Daniels; and his many grandchildren: Hannah Gordy, Emily Gordy, Hope Gordy, Ellie Gordy, Avery Gordy, Jacob Evans, Otto Evans, Gavin Evans, Kaleb Evans, Braiden Evans, Layla Evans, Skyla Evans, Lily Evans, Denee Johnson, Alyssa Gordy, Kingston Gordy, Kylin Gordy, Gabriell Witt, Leslie Witt, Rodney Jr., Bryson McCullough, Jace Daniels, D.J. Evans, and Isaiah Evans.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Community Baptist Church, 145 Pin Oak Dr., Rock Spring, GA 30739. A service celebrating his life will follow at 4:00 PM.

Syrus will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
