Swante Matt Holappa

Swante Matt “Swany” Holappa, age 71, our beloved husband, father and grandfather died peacefully on May 16, 2021 in a Cleveland, TN hospital. He was a resident of Decatur, TN. Swany was born in Minnesota on July 26, 1950.
Swany is dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years Bea Holappa, his son and best friend Heath Holappa, selfless daughter-in-law Annette Holappa, his adoring daughter Britt Baker, son-in-law Matt Baker and the one who filled his soul and bound his heart, granddaughter Izzy Bay Baker.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. John Jaggers and the Medical ICU staff at Tennova of Cleveland.
