Susan Mae Barton

Susan Mae Barton, 70, of Tellico Plains, Tennessee passed away September 20, 2022. She was born November 29, 1951 in Athens, Tennessee to the late Grover Moses and Ida Mason. Susan loved spending time in the kitchen cooking/baking, sewing, gardening, and enjoying her family and life. In addition, she enjoyed attending church and traveling to new places.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Moses and Ida Mason.

Susan is survived by her husband, James Barton; daughters, Angie (Toby) Wierseman, Allison Freeman; son, Justin (Bethsheba) Barton; sisters, Wanda (Nay) Rodgers, Bonnie Robinson; brother, Henry (Barbara) Moses; grandchildren, Tiffany Biela, Drew Biela, Andrew Shaw, Rickie Shaw, Jessica Brown, Michael Brown, Anime Barton, Lilliana Barton, Aurora Barton, Dimitri Barton, Damien Summers, Takisha Freeman, Catherine Freeman; great grandchildren, Blaise Shaw, Bently Shaw, Dallas Schloemer, Skyleigh Shaw, Sydnee Shaw, Makenzie Brown, Michael Brown Jr., and Brently Brown; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Brown Hill Church in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
