Steve L. Mccurry

Steve Labron McCurry, 69, passed away on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, due to his battle with Parkison’s disease. He was born December 26th, 1951, to Allen McCurry and Mae “Barnes” McCurry/Kirkland in Cedartown, GA. He was a longtime resident of North Georgia. He attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School. He loved his grandchildren, old westerns, basketball, golf, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Francis “McCurry” Walker.

He is survived by his daughters, Khristy Nicely and Stacey Newell; son-in-laws: Alan Nicely and Matthew Newell; grandchildren: Ryker and Brooklen Nicely, Dalton Killingsworth, and Trenity Newell; brothers, sister, and several nieces and nephews.

Steve donated to St. Jude and the ASPCA animal society for several years, and we ask that in lieu of flowers you donate to these foundations. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
