Stephen Douglas Rice

Stephen Douglas Rice,56, passed away on March 9, 2021. Born December 3, 1964 to Hazel L. (Wheeler) and Edwin E. Rice, in Ann Arbor Michigan.
Stephen retired after serving 25 years in the United States Army and National Guard. Stephen had many jobs while serving, among them, vehicle maintenance supervisor, unit supply specialist, and MP.
He was deployed to Iraq and proudly served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was injured in a Humvee- IED explosion. In his civilian life Stephen was a fix it superhero. There was nothing he could not or would not fix. From cars to plumbing, and even animals. He had a big heart and always took in strays.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edwin II, and his son Stephen Black.
Stephen is survived and forever missed by his beloved wife Grace; sons Jesse (Megan) Garrett, Zachary Garrett, Andrew Finkbeiner, Randolph (Sarah) Avellino; daughters, Danielle (Justin) Canoy, And Annamarie Maniccia (Cory Ley); grandchildren Valerie, Francesca, Kaylee, Blake,
Abigail, Aubrey, Owen and Ollivia; sisters Patricia (John) Kelley, Sharon (Gary) Wisely, Susan, and Diana Twomey, and many loved nieces and nephews.
