Stella Mae Shannon

Stella Mae Shannon, 68, a lifelong resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Saturday night, October 1st, 2016 in a local hospital. She was born on December 23rd, 1947 the daughter of the late Charlie & Agnus Beavers. She had retired from Duracell Manufacturing in Cleveland, TN. Stella loved fishing, camping and spending time with her family outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother Loyd Beavers.
Stella leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of fifty three years Jack Shannon, four children Debra Shelton (David), Charles Shannon (Debby), Tom Shannon (Sarah) and Greg Shannon (Cyndi), two brothers Richard Beavers (Florence) and Lynn Beavers (Wanda), six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Georgetown Baptist Church located at 8212 Georgetown Road NW, Georgetown, TN with the Reverend Benny Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, October 3rd, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the church sanctuary.
