Obituary
Stanley P. Lewis, 86, a resident of Cleveland TN passed away on Wednesday morning, March 13th, 2013. Stanley was born in Chickamauga GA a son of the late John and Ethel Lewis. Stanley worked as a driver and salesman for Tarver Distributing Company since their opening in 1962. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry and taking care of 1930 model A Ford.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty years Betty Ruth Lewis, two sisters Virginia Vincent and Gertrude Bennett and one brother Albert Lewis.
Stanley leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters Connie Painter and husband Dickie and Kaye Allen and husband Sam Houston Allen, one son Kenny Lewis, two sisters Jeri Green and Pat Helton (Bob), one brother Ted Lewis, three grandchildren Corey Painter (Stephanie), Linley Brooke Lewis and Jayce Lewis, two great grandchildren Eli Painter and Easton Painter. He is also survived by special friends the Tarver family and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at 5:00 PM at the West Cleveland Baptist Church located at1959 Westland Drive SW in Cleveland TN with the Reverend Kenny Isbill and the Reverend Matt Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 Pm until the 5:00 PM service time.
The private interment and committal service will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later time.
