In loving memory of Sidney Dewayne Maddux. He was a very talented man and loved music with all of his heart. He was famous for being one of the greatest banjo pickers in the area, and people would enjoy listening to him play and sing! He was live on Woop FM Radio many times, and he always loved talking about his music. He was a great fan of Earl Scruggs, Ricky Skaggs and a lot of the older bluegrass music players. In his younger days he performed in a popular rock band in the area called The Midnight Express. Many loved to come watch him play. He also taught his sons and others how to play the guitar. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening in which he grew many beautiful plants and vegetables that he would sell to locals.
He was preceded in death by his son, Denver Dewayne Maddux, his father, Lloyd Maddux, his mother Lena Maddux, and several brothers & sisters.
He is survived by one sibling, Mary Joe Owens (husband Ed) and three children, Heather Allen Gulledge (husband Eric), Derrick Maddux (wife Jeana), and Brandon Lee Maddux. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, that will all miss him dearly.
