Shirrell Crisp

Shirrell Crisp, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on March 30, 1949, in Banner Elk, North Carolina, and was a devoted member of Henegar's Baptist Church, where he loved helping with various church activities. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, going to the grocery store, and watching race cars. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him immense joy.

Preceded in death by Mother and Father Waymon and Nola Crisp; brothers in law: William Al Kimsey and Phillip Sneed; niece Crystal Lynn Crisp.

Surviving relatives; spouse of 9 years Andrea Crisp; children: Paula Markland, Mark Crisp (Robin), Tiffany Bazzell (Dakota), Nikki O'Boyle (David); siblings: Carolyn Kimsey Jenkins (Dale), Pamela Arp (Jerry), Hardy Crisp, Teresa Nix (Mike); brother and sister in law: Mike and Therese Murphy; grandchildren: Rosie McCormick, Bryan Maxwell, Kirsten Markland, Jennifer Markland, Timothy Markland, Brenden O'Boyle, Lauryn O'Boyle, Brady O'Boyle; uncle Cecil Crisp and aunt Virginia Burleson.

In addition to these he leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends and special friends Alan and JoAnn Deal.

Funeral services for Shirrell Crisp will be held at Henegar Baptist Church on April 14, 2024, with Pastor Anthony Howard officiating. The visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 5:00 pm. Live music will be provided by David O'Boyle, and Alan Deal will give remarks.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners in memory of Shirrell Crisp. May he rest in peace.
