Shirlyn Lee Eakins

Shirlyn Lee Eakins, 74, of Graysville, TN, died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at her home. Shirlyn attended the Spivey Memorial Methodist Church. Shirlyn had many different jobs in her life, some of which include Battlecreek Sanitarium and Village Pancake House in Battlecreek, Michigan, where she lived for 14 years. She also worked for Keyser Roth, ETC Catering Company and Pizza Hut in Dayton, Tennessee. She is also well known by many for her cakes which she baked on the side for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank T. Woodard and Dorothy L. Woodard; Husband Tommy E. Eakins Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Tommie Lee Eakins of Dayton, TN; son Tommy Eugene Eakins Jr. “TJ” of Dayton, TN; Grandchildren Zander Owens, Landon Jones, Selena Yearwood, Chloe Yearwood, and Haven Yearwood; Brothers Frank T. Woodard and Walter R. Woodard both of Battlecreek, Michigan; sister Virginia J. Erreger of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday August 11 at Spivey Memorial Methodist Church on Blythes Ferry Road in Dayton, TN.
