Obituary
Shirley Williams Jones, 62, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Friday April 12th, 2013 in a local hospital. Shirley was born on May 20th, 1950 a daughter of the late Percy and Thelma Williams. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church. Shirley worked as a nurse for Twenty Seven plus years at Parkridge East Hospital. Shirley’s caring spirit made her a true asset to the health care profession.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Dennis Jones.
Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Mary Jones of Chattanooga, TN, brother-in-law Curtis Howard and his wife Faye of Columbia, TN. She is also survived by other family members Ed & Jan Smith and Tanner & Makenna Smith both of Simpsonville, SC and David & Lori Howell, Austin, Brandan & Caitlyn Howell all of Soddy Daisy, TN, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the main sanctuary of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church with the Reverend Richard Mason officiating. The family will receive friends in the church foyer from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 PM service time on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to either the Diabetes Association or to Donate Life in Shirley’s memory.
