Obituary

Shirley W. Boring, 63, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 8, 2014 in a Chattanooga Hospital. She was born on April 3, 1951 to William Earl and Florene Presley. Shirley was a member of North Cleveland Baptist for the past 22 years, where she also worked as Membership Secretary for the past eight years. Prior to that, she worked for 30+ years at The Printin' Place with her husband, Ed. She was a very creative person and avid Tennessee Vols fan. However, above all things, she was a loving wife, mother, and Nana to seven grandchildren that she enjoyed traveling the world to see. She loved nothing more than spending time with those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her son Michael E. Boring, mother Florene Presley, and sister Pam Presley.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 44 years, Marcus Ed Boring, three daughters Lori Heil (Chris) of Aracaju, Brazil, Sonya Huddleston (Alan) of Cleveland, TN, Ashley Haury (Charlie) of St. George, UT; seven grandchildren: Mason Boring, Madison Boring, Micah Boring, Marcus Heil, Fisher Heil, Kayson Haury, and Boone Haury; brother Millard Presley (Robbie), sisters Vicki Teague (Ricky) and Sandy Walker (James). In addition to these, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday June 12, 2014 at North Cleveland Baptist Church 2815 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN with Dr. Jay McCluskey and Chris Heil officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Thursday June 12, 2014 from 11:00am-2:00pm at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Shirley’s nephews serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the North Cleveland Baptist Church Building Fund or the Open Door Sunday School Class Mission Fund, both are located at the church address listed above.
