Shirley Jo Shoemaker, 65, of Apison, TN, passed away October 11, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1958, to the late Loyd Houston Munger & Sakiko Yamaguchi Plath, in Fort Bragg North Carolina. Shirley loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Chambers; stepmother, Judy Munger; daughter, Dedra Chambers; and grandchildren, Nikolas Flores, Melanie Harbison, and Leo Flores
She is survived by her son, Brandon (Vanessa) Boyd; daughters: Angela (Curt) Roark, Tonya Chambers, April (Armando) Flores, and Vanessa Johnson; fur baby, Chole; grandchildren: Colbie Roark, MaKayla Harbison, Enrique Maravilla, Antonio Maravilla, Damian Solorzano, Brittley Sellers, Christopher Flores, Corbin Scruggs, Riley Roark, Scarlet (Dikerson) Boyd, Arleigh Johnson, Davin Johnson, and Waylon Boyd; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Harbison and Jesslyn (Howard) Harbison; and best friends for over 30 years, Jean Williams and Stella Vanhook.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM, at Ooltewah Baptist Church-Student Center, 5516 Pearl Street, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
