Shirley Joann Swafford Kyle

Shirley Joann Swafford Kyle, 81, departed this life on October 15, 2021. Born on June 15, 1940 to the late Pearl Roston Swafford and Annie Bell Eaton Swafford, she was a native and lifelong resident of Athens, TN. Shirley was a member of Meadow Fork Baptist Church and Parkway Baptist church. She was loved by her friends and family. Shirley will be missed by all.

Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her eight sisters, Gladus, Elsie, Bertha, Cloie, Gertude, Thema, Mallie, and Vestie; her brother, Fred Swafford.

Left behind to cherish Shirley’s memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Brian McNabb of Athens, TN; her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Christy Kyle of Athens, TN; her daughter Teanna Kyle of Athens, TN; her sister, Bobbie Swafford of Etowah, TN; her sister-in-law, Carol Swafford of Calhoun; her grandchildren, Trenton McNabb, Nathan McNabb, Krista Kyle Gonzalez, Taylor Slack, Tyler Slack, and Kenedee Slack; and her fourteen great grandchildren.
