Shirley Jenkins

Shirley Jean Pittman Jenkins, 87, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. Shirley was born on December 12, 1936 in McCaysville, Georgia to the late William "Bass" and Ethel Pittman. Shirley was very family centered. She enjoyed more than anything to spend time with her children, and grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Wade Emery Jenkins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Lavonne Collins, Larry Jenkins, Tonya Pendergrass, Teresa Jenkins, Michael (Jolene) Jenkins, Elizabeth Jenkins. In addition to these, Shirley leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Shirley's family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of Shirley's life will follow the visitation at 1pm with Rev. Brian Mowrey and Chaplain Adam Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Turtletown, TN following the service.
