Shirley Jean Stephens Eubanks

Shirley Jean Stephens Eubanks, 86, of Athens, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at her home. Shirley was born on March 20, 1936, in Athens to the late Floyd and Maggie Stephens. She worked many years as a certified nursing assistant at NHC of Athens. Shirley was also a dedicated member of Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arbin Hamby; grandson, Arbin Deshane Gibson; and her siblings, Martha Prueitt, Ollie Mae Bruce, Robert Stephens, Johnny Stephens, Luke Stephens, and Lucille Poss.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Becky (Randy) Gibson; great granddaughters, Christian (James) Lovett, and Taylor (David) Gibson; her great great grandson, Theodore Lovett; and her special friend, Charmaine Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral and Cremation service with Pastor Anthony Wynn officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service. A Graveside service is to Follow at Niota Cemetery in Niota, Tennessee.
