Shirley Black Barfield

Shirley Black Barfield, 68, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was a child of God and loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Barfield; parents, Edna and Roscoe Black; sisters, Betty Black, Mamie Vaughn and her brother, Billy Black.
She is survived by her son, David Barfield Jr. (Amanda) of Michigan; grandchildren, Austin, David III, Vince, Patience, and Randy; siblings, Phyllis White (Harold) of Powder Springs, GA, Bobby Black (Wilma) of Atlanta, GA, Joyce Chambers (Monte) of Monroe, GA, Janie Simmons (Gerald), Teresa Branam, and Jeff Black (Debbie), all of Cleveland, TN; brothers-in-law, Larry Barfield (Martha) and Mr. & Mrs. Randy Barfield, as well as more nieces and nephews and more extended family.
A celebration of life service is planned for 6:00pm on Wednesday March 23, 2016 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road, with Reverend Ronnie Ledford officiating the service.
A visitation will be held two hours prior, starting at 4:00pm until the 6:00pm service time.
