Obituary

Shirley A. Barkley, 74, of Etowah, TN went home to by with the Lord on Sunday, June 29th, 2014. She was a member of Everlasting Life Baptist Church in Englewood, TN.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother Maria Cathey, step father James E. Cathey, brothers Rex Zone Walker and James F. Cathey Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory children Terry & Kathy Stewart of North Carolina, David & Leah Clark of Benton, TN Jeff Stewart of Benton, TN, Dee Barkley of Benton, TN and Amy & Matt Byrd of Corryton, TN, several very much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Lonny Lockhart (Melvie) of North Carolina, sister Diane Wade of Cleveland, TN and a very special thank you to a very special nephew and niece Joel & Jamie Lockhart of North Carolina.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Everlasting Life Baptist Church located at 311 South Amhurst in Englewood, TN 37329.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Everlasting Life Baptist Church in Shirley's memory.
