Obituary

Sherry S. McGowan, 80 passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at a hospital in Crossville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Vivian Holloway.

Sherry moved to the Chattanooga area in 1973 after her husband retired from the Army. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was of the Church of God Faith and was a member of The Gospel Ministry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd McGowan and four brothers Wayne, Billy, Ray and Terry Holloway.

She is survived by her children: Dale, his wife Reba, Carl, Mike, Virginia Ledford, her husband Michael, Patricia McGowan and former daughter in law Debbie McGowan, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, two sisters Deborah and Cathy numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Friday, May 15th, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Revival Church of God located 4900 Bill Jones Road in Apison, TN 37302 with the Reverend Rod McKinney and the Reverend Marvin Quinn officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the 12:00 PM service time.
