Shelby Jean Hamilton

Shelby Jean Hamilton, 82, of Cleveland, went home to her loving Savior on August 13,2022.

Shelby was preceded in death by her husband Bob, the love of her life for 63 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hobson and Ruby Shaw; brother, Richard Shaw, of Tellico Plains, TN.

She was a God-fearing woman who devoted her life to the Lord and her family. She proudly supported The Seekers gospel singing group for 31 years. She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Grasshopper Creek Campground. Shelby was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her two sons, Billy Hamilton and wife Tonia, and Mike Hamilton, all of Cleveland and Cheryl Merritt of Ooltewah; three wonderful grandchildren: Josh Hamilton and wife Brittany, Valerie Manley and husband Grant, and Christian Hamilton and wife Cambria; three great-grandchildren who were the light of her life, Sophia, Avery, and Emery Hamilton; siblings, Shirley Cagle, of Cleveland, TN, Bonnie Belcher, and Beryl Cagle; a longtime family friend, Alicia Wyatt, who she loved like a daughter.


Visitation will be on August 16, 2022, at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland from 4-7. Funeral service to follow. Officiating will be Doug Ingram and Dennis Cagle.

Interment will be at Samples Memorial Baptist Church on August 17 at 11A.M. Pallbearers include: Christian Hamilton, Josh Hamilton, Avery Hamilton, Grant Manley, Mike Green, Heath Green, and Brandon Ingram.
