Obituary for Sharon Denise Holmes

Sharon Denise Holmes, a loving and talkative woman, passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 49. She peacefully departed at Life Care Center of Cleveland in Cleveland, Tennessee. Sharon was born on March 8, 1974, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to her parents Howard and Thelma (Smith) Underwood.

Sharon will be fondly remembered as a kind-hearted individual who cherished engaging conversations and had a deep love for her family. Her warm and friendly nature touched the lives of many.

She leaves behind a cherished life partner, Michael Williford, and her beloved children, Andrew and Brittany Holmes, Joasha and Misty Holmes, and stepson Jeffrey Williford. Sharon was also a proud grandmother to her grandchild, Jewel Holmes, and step-grandchildren Hunter Blackwell, Addison Blackwell, and Jasmine Payne. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Howard and Angie Underwood, and sister, Donna and John Chambers. Sharon will be deeply missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of extended family members.

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving parents, Howard and Thelma Underwood, as well as her grandparents, Walter Underwood, Lester and Mildred Darnell, and Luther and Lena Smith.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service Cleveland Chapel. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Companion Funeral Home - Cleveland on May 26, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on May 27th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on May 27, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home - Cleveland, with Pastor John Stinnett officiating. Following the service, interment will be held at New Friendship Cemetery of Bradley County. Pallbearers selected for the service are Howard Underwood, Justin Underwood, Andrew Underwood, Austin Underwood, Andrew Holmes, and Josh Holmes.

During this difficult time, let us remember Sharon Denise Holmes for her joyful spirit, her love for her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
