Shanda Bivens

Shanda Bivens, aged 58, departed this world on November 20, 2023, in Etowah, TN. Born on February 2, 1965, in Amite, LA, Shanda was the cherished daughter of George Williams and Patricia Hensley.

A creative spirit from the start, Shanda found joy in the simple yet profound pleasures of life. Whether she was immersed in the world of drawing and painting or extending a helping hand to others, Shanda's warmth and creativity touched the lives of those around her.

Shanda is survived by a legacy of love and fond memories, carried on by her son Justin McCain, daughter Amanda McCain, father George Williams, brother Bruce Williams, sister Gina Mackey, sister Misty Harison, grandson Justin McCain Jr., granddaughter Jade McCain, grandson Jon Mealor, and grandson James McCain.

Shanda is now reunited with her mother, Patricia Hensley, and two brothers, Kelly Williams and Matthew Williams, who preceded her in death.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Shanda's life at a service to be held on December 9th at Companion Funeral Home Athens Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 5 pm, followed by the memorial service. In commemorating Shanda's life, let us remember the joy she brought to others and the beauty she found in the world around her.
