Sandra Rogers Jackson

Sandra Rogers Jackson was born on May 24, 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a current resident of Birchwood, Tennessee . Sandy passed away at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee after an eight-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Her husband and daughter were committed caretakers and at her side at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Rogers, brother, John David Rogers, brother in law, Garner Hall, daughter, Christina Gail Shaver-Schuman, and special friend, Cynthia Hamilton. She is survived by her devoted husband of twenty-three years, Ronnie E. Jackson, mother; Matha J. Rogers, sisters; Marty Fairbanks (Randy), Amy Hall, sister-in-law; Hope Jackson, brother; Kenny Rogers, daughters; Ann Marie Brockett McDonald (Mel), Sunni Jackson, Skye Bowman (Chance), son; Austin Jackson (Juliana), nine grandchildren; Morgann, Chloe, Sydney, Riley Claire, Casen, Bennett, Robbie, Carmen and expecting soon RJ, four nieces and many wonderful friends.
Sandy was a committed mother, proud “Mimi” and loving friend. She will always be remembered for her bright smile and accepting and loving nature towards others. Even while fighting cancer her family remained her ultimate priority and she was happiest when surrounded by them. In earlier years, Sandy was a dedicated member of the Ruritan Club of Harrison, Tennessee and enjoyed running concessions. She was a proud softball mom, never missing a game. Her recent hobbies were gardening, estate sales, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and caring for many Malti-poo puppies.
The family sends a special "thank you" for the excellent care and treatment Sandy received from Tennessee Oncology of Cleveland, Dr. An Tran, MD.; nurses, Barbara, Maraline, Dee, Heather and Wes. They are thankful her final days were peaceful with the help of the Fourth Floor nurses and doctors of Tennova Healthcare and Hospice of Chattanooga.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Sandra Rogers Jackson will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW Cleveland TN 37311 with Pastor Jonathan Parker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
