Sandra Kaye "Sandy" Martin Ratledge

Sandra Kaye “Sandy” Martin Ratledge, 61, a lifelong resident of Englewood, TN passed away on Saturday evening, January 29, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Athens, TN on July 23, 1960 a daughter of the late James R. & Jewell Martin. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. Her proudest accomplishments were her son and her granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son Scott Martin, four sisters, Glenna Faye Martin, Cathy Crabtree, Dana Lane and Debbie Mullinax, one brother Steve Martin, father of her son Dustin, Reece Wayne Martin, one sister-in-law Charlyn Martin, one niece Tosha Martin and great nephew Conner Lane.
Sandy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son Dustin Martin and his wife Heather, three special granddaughters Emilee, Khloe and Bethany Martin, two sisters Jimmie Sue Williams (Sherman) and Vickie Croft (Jim), two brothers Danny Martin (Carlean) and James Gregory “Buster” Martin, one sister-in-law Pat Martin, two brothers- in-law Ronnie Lane and Tim Crabtree, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends and caretakers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Ronnie Lane officiating.
The interment and committal service will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery in Englewood, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Englewood Fire Department in her memory.
