Obituary
Sandra (Sandie) Bruce, 67, formerly of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2013 in Decatur, TN. She is survived by her husband, Ron Bruce Sr., daughter, Connie Bruce, son and daughter-in-law, Ron Bruce Jr. and Megan Bruce, granddaughter, Shawna Bruce, younger sister, Linda Zebley (Don), aunt, Barbara Linn, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Rick Bruce, older sister and parents. Sandie and Ron lived in Valparaiso for almost 30 years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year at Fogo de Chao in Minneapolis. After their human kids had left home, they were foster parents to Capuchin monkeys from the Helping Hands program. The program trained monkeys to be helpers to quadriplegics.
There will be no public services or visitation however in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate stories you have about meeting/knowing Sandie and Ron.
