It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel Thead Robertson, a beloved family man, devoted truck driver, U.S. Navy veteran, and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 81. Samuel was known for his strong work ethic, his unwavering devotion to his family, and his genuine kindness to everyone he met. As a proud Navy veteran, Samuel served his country with honor before dedicating himself to his career as a truck driver, a role that allowed him to provide for his loved ones. Above all, his love and care for his family were his greatest treasures.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Robertson; his children, Roger Robertson and Rebecca Wallen; his grandchildren, Steven Bunker, Samuel Bunker, Jessica Robertson, Caitlin Harden, and Braden Robertson- USAF-A1C; and his great-grandchildren, Ian Bunker, Noelle Bunker, Greer Bunker, Luke Bunker, and McCray Harden. Samuel's legacy of love, strength, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Samuel's life on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Bible Way Baptist Church, located at 2502 Lakeview Dr, Rossville, GA 30741. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
