Samuel Irving Farless

Samuel Irving Farless, 85, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 4, 2016 at his home. He was born on November 17, 1930 to the late James and Zena Farless. Sam was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He has been a resident of Cleveland for the past fifteen years, after moving here from St. Augustine, FL. He was a true outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, as well as gardening. Above all things, however, Sam loved his family and spending time with them.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Taylor Farless; son David Farless (Haley); daughter Leslie LaFosse (Larry); sister Ernestine McVey; grandchildren: Israel Farless, Marisa Farless, Nathan Walker, Samuel LaFosse, and Paul LaFosse: great grandchildren: Ella Girden, Aviean Farless, and Rylan Walker.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor David Farless officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at 2:30pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Bob Malone officiating.
