Samuel Andrew Guthrie

Samuel Andrew Guthrie, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at a local hospital. Samuel served his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed
He is preceded in death by his parents Toney A. and Mary M Guthrie; siblings, Netta Dellavinia Guthrie, Ruth Inez Guthrie, Madison Eugene Guthrie, Phyllis Albadine Guthrie, Mary Neille Guthrie, Carter Poe Guthrie, William Fay Guthrie, and Leon Cavener Guthrie.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children Gordon (Cindy) Guthrie, Mark (Linda) Guthrie, Pamela (Tom) Hagan, and Brian Guthrie; grandchildren, Jennifer Withrow, Brittany Guthrie, Eric Hagan, and Angie Huffman; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Franklin Delano Guthrie, and Bruce Albert Guthrie. Along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 5-7pm at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel. The celebration of life service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2pm in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
