Ruth E. Packett Frazier, 92, a resident of Cleveland since 2009 and lived in Garden Plaza, Brookdale Assistant Care and Bradley Nursing Home until she went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2016. She was born on April 6, 1923. She lived in Knoxville, TN, Richmond, IN, and Orlando, FL. She sold real estate in Orlando before retiring. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Orlando.
She is the daughter of the late Lilly Cooper Packett and Leonard Vasco Packett Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilmer H. Frazier (Bill) of 57 years. Three sisters and their husbands Helen and Bob Moody, Frances and Coya Stinnett, Doris and Winfred (Dub) Frazier and one brother Charles V Packett. She is also preceded in death by her husband’s seven siblings and their spouses and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She is survived by one brother Dr. Leonard V. Packett. She did not have any children but is survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Her niece Judy and her husband Bill Witt of Cleveland and their children and grandchildren and have given and received lots of hugs and kisses since she was no longer able to live alone and moved to be close to them in 2009.
Companion Funeral Services will assist the family as we celebrate her life and homecoming with a graveside service on Friday April 1, 2016 at 4:00pm at Byrd’s Chapel Cemetery, 11270 Yarnell Road Knoxville, TN with Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Frazier, Bill Witt, Ben Witt, Jeff Witt, Mark Witt, and Shane Gibson.
