Ruth Ann Shamblin Swallows

Ruth Ann (Shamblin) Swallows, 74, of Old Fort, TN gained her heavenly wings on February 2, 2023. Her radiant smile and loving personality will be remembered by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Reece (Betty) Shamblin, Bernice (Jr.) Wade; sister Betty Jo (Shamblin) Swallows, and son Thomas Swallows.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 58 years, Edward Swallows; children: Ricky (Paulette) Swallows, JoAnn (Don) Whitehead, Nathan (Kelsey) Swallows. She was a cherished grandmother to Erick (Brittany) Swallows, Eddie (Laura) Swallows, Andrew Whitehead, Laura (Matt) Sharp, Gage, Bella, and Ellie Swallows, Dustin (Julie) Mason, Nick Talley, Cameron (Ashley) Swallows, Amber Swallows and Desiree Swallows; great grandchildren: Brianna Swallows, Jacey Talley, Miles & Grayson Sharp, Ezra & Silas Swallows, Crew Mason, Omry Swallows, and Dillon & Scarlette Swallows. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Ruth Ann’s family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm on Sunday February 5th at Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Benton, TN with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3pm. She will be laid to rest following her service at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Ruth Ann’s family will serve as pallbearers.
