**In Loving Memory of Ruby Kay Womack**

Ruby Kay Womack, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 3, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born in Omega, Alabama, and spent her life wrapped in the love of family and faith. Ruby's heart was a symphony of devotion, anchored by her steadfast love for Jesus and the joy she found in sharing her musical talents with those around her. A gifted pianist and organist, Ruby had a special place in her heart for the sound of the organ, where her hands would weave melodies that brought comfort and peace to all who heard them. Ruby also an avid reader of books, she enjoyed expanding her knowledge or reading a good story from others.

Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. A devout member of the Baptist faith, Ruby lived with grace and love, extending the warmth of her heart to those around her. She carried the teachings of Jesus in her every action, reflecting His light in the way she loved her family, cherished her friends, and found joy in the simplest of moments.

Ruby was a woman of many passions. She had a zest for life, whether she was cheering on her beloved Atlanta Braves, celebrating a victory with Alabama football, or quietly casting a line into the water on a fishing trip. She also loved the challenge of working puzzles and expressing her creativity through painting. A lover of butterflies, Ruby found beauty in the delicate things that fluttered by, reminding us all of the wonder in small, fleeting moments.

Family was Ruby's greatest treasure. She was the proud mother of Gary Eugene Womack (Alicia) and Vernon Thomas Womack (Margaret "Meg"), and the loving sister to Thomas Bates (Betty) and Nellie Kyle (Paul). Her legacy of love continues in her grandchildren, Tiffany Townsend (George) and Brandy Jones (Matt), as well as her great-grandchildren, Katelyn Thomas, Emma Thomas, and Presley Townsend.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Bobby Eugene Womack, whose love for Ruby was unwavering, and her parents, Arthur Bates and C. Estelle Bates. Ruby is now reunited with them in the loving arms of our Savior, where her spirit will forever soar in peace.

The family invites all who knew Ruby to celebrate her life and legacy. A service to honor Ruby's memory will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel," with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Private Burial will follow next day at Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Ruby's name to Gideons International Bibles or Union Gospel Mission in Chattanooga-two causes that Ruby held dear in her heart. May her memory live on in the music she played, the love she gave, and the faith she held so dear.

Ruby's life was a melody of love, a testament to her family, her faith, and her God. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
