Obituary
Ruby Nelline Smith, 79, a resident of Athens, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday night, February 9, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Ruby a lifelong resident of Athens was born on March 20, 1933 a daughter of the late James and Minnie Webb. Ruby was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by one granddaughter Allyssa Smith, one sister Betty Bandy and four brothers Grady Webb, Lake Webb, Robert Webb and John Webb.
Ruby leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of fifty years John Thomas Smith, one son and daughter-in-law Tim and Rachel Smith. One sister Ruth Cornett, two brothers Junior Webb and Bill Webb, five grandchildren Cody Smith, Brandi Smith, Christi Smith, Garrett Smith and Tori Smith. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family will host a memorial celebration at the family home located at 340 County Road 370 in Athens, TN on Saturday night, February 16th, 2013 at 6:00 PM. They request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Tennessee Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 404 BNA Drive Suite 102, Nashville, TN 37217 in Ruby’s memory.
