Roy Whaley

Roy Arnold Whaley, born on April 1, 1951, in Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on March 17, 2025, at the age of 73. He was a lifelong resident of Calhoun, Tennessee, known for his dedication and hard work as a heavy equipment operator for Shaw Industries in the carpet manufacturing sector.

Roy is survived by his three beloved daughters, Linda Michelle Whaley, Melissa Whaley King, Amanda Whaley, Son-in-Law Clint Hullender, sister Joyce Whaley and Five Grandchildren who will always cherish the memories and lessons he imparted throughout their lives. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of several nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Earl Whaley, Stella Bishop, Stepfather Lester Bishop and Sister Linda Sue Whaley. Also, special friends Joyce and Jim Mckerchie along with several Aunts and Uncles.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sampson Bell, Steven Long, Josh Long, Shawn Long, Anthony Waters, Eddie Abercrombie, Stevie Fowler, Jason Fowler and Clint Hullender.

Special friends: Tony Odaniel, Harv, Billy Nichols and Eddie Hamby.

Viewing will be held at Companion Funeral Home in Shelton Parlor, Wednesday, March 26th from 12:30-2:30 pm with Graveside service following at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 3 pm with Reverend Larry Holland officiating.
