Roy Carroll Ogle, 84, passed on November 29 after a lengthy illness. Carroll was born to Delmar Lawrence Ogle Sr. and Evelyn Brackin on August 27, 1940, in Cleveland. He attended Liberty and Valley View schools and graduated from Bradley County High School in 1959. He served in the National Guard. He retired from Home Beneficial Insurance Agency. Carroll loved to hunt and fish at his homes on the lake and in the mountains. He never met a stranger and loved a party. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his generous spirit, big laughs, and love for life.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Sue Campbell: one brother, Delmar Lawrence Ogle Jr (Larry) of Lenoir City (his wife Glenna); a nephew, Tyler Ogle of Knoxville (his wife Jean and children Bennett and Emily); niece, Shannon Holder of Beshor, Kansas (her husband Paul and children Denton and Ellie). His extended family includes many cousins in Townsend, Tennessee and Cleveland.
At Carroll's request, there will be no scheduled service. The family will gather to celebrate his life on the river in the spring. They thank many friends for their car during his illness.
