Roy Lee Pritchett

Roy Lee Pritchett, 65, a longtime resident of Athens, TN passed away on Friday morning, November 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Roy was born in Mannheim Germany on June 11, 1952. He has owned and operated Downtown Automotive Service Center for twenty-seven plus years. Being of the Christian faith and follower of the teachings of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he always put God, Family and the needs of his community before his own. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed serving with Grace & Mercy Ministries, antiques, golf, fishing and watching LSU football.
His is preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Lena Pritchett and one sister Robbie Homes.
Roy leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kathy Pritchett, three sons Ben Mulkey (Jen), Edward Pritchett and Chris Pritchett (Cindy) and one daughter Tina Pritchett Gross (Kerny). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and three more great grandchildren on the way, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday evening, November 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home Athens located at 400 S White Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.
