Roy Jones

Roy Jones, 82, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday afternoon, November 16th, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy H. and Callie Allen Jones of Decatur, Tennessee, his only son, James Roger Jones and step-son, Brian Scott Howard.
Roy was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Soon after retiring from Dupont Chattanooga, he began raising cattle which he really enjoyed. He was also a big Nascar fan.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Chapman Jones. Step-daughter, Beverly Ellis (Nick), and step-son John Michael Howard, both of Cleveland, Tennessee. Along with, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one step-great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, located at 7619 S Blue Springs Road, with Pastor Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends two hours prior, from 1:00PM until the 3:00PM service time, also at the church.
