Roy Glenn Brown, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his home. Roy was a dedicated worker, overseeing maintenance at both Kayline and Cooke’s manufacturing. He also loved spending time hunting and working on cars. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Chester and Bertha Cross Brown; children, Jimmy Brown and Diane Brown; sisters, Ella Pope, Mamie Parks, Geneva Durham, Anna Bell McClelland, and Margie Wilson; brothers, Fred Brown, Arnold Brown, and Frank Brown.
Roy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jewerl Brown; grandchildren, Melissa Allen and Shawna (Brian) Sandlan; great grandson, Theron Allen; special niece, Karen Ratcliff; special friends Marilyn Martin, April Pena, Tony McKnight, Sherrell Gargala, and Donnie Maples, along with several more nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 5-7pm at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel. The celebration of life service will be held at 7pm following the visitation. Rev. Dustin Jenkins will be officiating the service.
