Rostin Wayne Ervin,62, of Athens, passed away on May 4, 2024. He was born in Yakima, Washington on October 25, 1961. He was a lifelong citizen of McMinn County. He was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Uncle and Papaw.

He is preceded in death by his Daddy, William "Bill" Ervin, his mother, Myrtle Mathis Ervin, baby brother William, Brother-in-Law Marvin Henderson, Bother-in-Law Ray Murr, Brother-in-Law Bill White, Father-in-Law Troy Jones, Mother-in-Law Genora Watkins Jones, Brother-in-Law Robert Sharpe, and Sister-in-Law Christina Jones Robinson.

Rostin is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cindy Jones Ervin. His six kids, Rostin Wayne Ervin II (Crystal Ervin), Samantha Ervin Farmer (Michael Farmer), Jessica Ervin Woodell (J.R. Woodell), Kaylan Ervin Shoemaker (Matthew Shoemaker), Jazmine Ervin (Heather Chandler), William Ervin (Gracie Ervin) and Nathan Langford. He is also survived by three sisters, Joann Murr, Kay Henderson and Linda White and one brother Charles Ervin (Linda Ervin); three sisters-in-law, Tammy Jones Sharpe, Lora Jones Huffman (Billy Huffman) and Kellie Jones Thompson (Jonathan Thompson). He had many grandchildren, Trajan Moses, Talon Moses, Brenda "Bri" Pike, Bryson Eaton, Abigail "Abby" Underdown, Elizabeth Woodell and Daniel "Danny" Woodell. He had many nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his animals.

He worked for with his Daddy at Clearwater Enterprise for many years. He worked for W.W Morrow and Sons out of Sweetwater, TN installing and repairing HVAC systems for many years. In his spare time, he liked to go fishing, watching NASCAR and enjoying time with his family. He enjoyed going to the races in Talladega. He went for 22 years. He went on his last trip this April 15th through April 22nd 2024 with his wife and family. He was a man who never met a stranger and was loved by all who met him.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a service at 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 S. White St., Athens, TN 37303.
