Ross Gunter

Ross Gunter, 67, of Athens, TN, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Decatur Wellness from cancer. The youngest of eleven siblings born to Dewey and Lillian Gunter of Athens.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lillian (Farmer) Gunter; grandparents; brothers, Leroy Gunter of Athens, Jackie Gunter of Englewood; sisters, infant sister Faye Gunter, Mary Sue Land of Englewood, Margaret Hale of Etowah, Rebecca "Becky" Porter of Englewood; brother in-laws, John Land, Joe Hale; sister in-law, Mary Ann Gunter.

Ross is survived by his brothers, Tommy Gunter of Cleveland, Gary Gunter of Athens, David (Millie) Gunter of Cleveland; sister, Paula (John) Guffey of Athens; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service at Riverview Cemetery on Grove Street in Loudon, TN with Jerry Shirk officiating will be held at a later date.
