Ronnie Holloway

March 25, 1950 — May 21, 2020

Ronnie Holloway, age 70, a longtime resident of Spring City, Tennessee, died at his home in Kingston, Tennessee with his wife Phyllis and his sister, Janice at his side on May 21, 2020. He was born on March 25, 1950.
He attended Spring City High School where he excelled in athletics. He continued his love of sports by coaching Spring City Red Dogs and the Dixie Youth Baseball for many years. He served his community as Mayor and Chief of Police in Spring City. For the last 25 years he held the position of Director of Transportation for the Rhea County Department of Education. He never finished a work day until every child was safely home.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Franklin Holloway and grandparents, Strauther and Mary Baker Holloway and Garfield and Maggie Thurman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Nixon Holloway, his mother Dorothy Thurman Holloway, his children, Jamie (Amy) Holloway and Lisa (Randy) Weaver, sisters, Janice (Gid) McEachern and Cathy (Billy Ray) Gideon, five grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friends, Eric Scarborough and Perry Cox and his longtime friend, Nancy Maxwell Ladd.
Due to the Covid 19, the family will have a private graveside service.
