Ronnie Eugene Cross Carroll

Ronnie Eugene Cross Carroll, age 77 of Cleveland, departed this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his residence. Born on October 8, 1944 in Cleveland, he traveled with his career before moving back to Cleveland 22 years ago. Ronnie was a proud veteran of the United States Army, previous owner of Cameron’s Restaurant and retired from Waffle House after 32 years of service. He was a master mason with the Cleveland Lodge# 134 and a member of the American Legion Post #81.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby(Len) Cross; father, Oscar Carroll(Paula); children, Angela Carroll, Mark Carroll, and Adam Carroll; grandson, Nathan Hylton; and brother, Len Cross, Jr.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Vickie Adams Carroll; children, Melissa Hylton(Tasha), Lewis Hylton (Hannah), Jennifer Rae Hayes(Sam), and Courtney Gregory(Tiffany); grandchildren, Ashley Carroll, Codie Womack, Tyler Post, Rebecca Hylton, Josh Womack, Jackson Hylton, Victoria Casson, Kassidy Jackson, Angela Wilcox, Hailey Sutton, Hunter Gregory, Tiffany Hayes, and Kamryn Davidson; several great-grandchildren, including his special great-buddy, Greyson Post; brothers, Gene Paul Carroll(Addie), Wayne Carroll, and Jeff Carroll (Jeanne); sister, Kathy Lynn Johanson; beloved dog, Pebbles; as well as several extended family members and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Ronnie Eugene Cross Carroll will be held at 7p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Pastor James Long officiating and Masonic Services provided by the Cleveland Masonic Lodge# 134.
A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 4, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the funeral hour on Thursday.
